Ice Sculptures by Ramon, has been in business since 1995, although personally I have been carving ice for almost 30 years.  We are the only full-time professional ice carving business in the Dayton area and we deliver sculptures throughout Ohio and also parts of Kentucky, Indiana and Michigan.

I am a graduate of Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration, and while a student I taught ice carving classes at Cornell and garde manger classes at Tompkins County Community College.

Ice Sculptures by Ramon works with caterers, hotels, country clubs, convention centers, colleges, restaurants and businesses to make sure that their clients' needs are met. We will design personal sculptures from pictures, logos or just from a persons imagination. Our specialty is personal service, from the design to delivery and set-up. Almost anything imaginable can be carved and we urge people to be creative.

Ice sculptures are usually one of two sizes, a full block or a half block. A full block measures 40" x 20" x 10" and weighs approximately 300 pounds. A half block is 35" x 20" x 5" and weighs approximately 150 pounds. However, after carving, the weight usually drops between 75 and 100 pounds. Table centerpieces can also be made. Sculptures will have a "show life" of 6 - 8 hours. (At room temperature, it will take that long for the detail to melt away.)
